In Term 4, students in Years 3–6 have the opportunity to play Tennis in the IPSHA competition. Training sessions are before school or after school on the Ravenswood Tennis courts. Games are on Saturday mornings at various venues in the Sydney Metropolitan area. Students who excel have the opportunity to trial for selection to representative sport in IPSHA, NSWCIS, NSWPSSA and School Sport Australia. Registrations and trials occur in Term 3.

The Ravenswood Tennis Championship occurs in Term 4 and is open to all Junior School students to compete for doubles and singles titles.

Tennis Hot Shots

Tennis Hot Shots is specifically designed for children and is available to students in K–6. Smaller courts, lighter racquets and low-compression balls that do not bounce as high, make learning Tennis fun and easy. There are three stages – Red, Orange and Green – that help to develop skills and confidence. Students are taught by qualified Tennis Australia coaches and progress at their own pace, moving on to the next stage when they are ready. For K–6 students, Hot Shots is available during lunchtime or after school.

Tennis Lessons

Tennis lessons are available to students in K–12 on a term-by-term basis throughout the year, and cater for beginners through to elite level. Students can choose to enrol in groups of two or three or can opt for individual lessons. Tennis Coaches are highly experienced and are endorsed by Tennis NSW and Tennis Australia. Lessons are available before or after school, or during lunchtime. Registrations occur the term prior to commencement.
